![]() Ankle dorsiflexion in my opinion is one of the more crucial assessments for basketball players. More importantly however, it how exactly we measure ankle dorsiflexion. Non-weightbearing and weightbearing DF assessments are equally as important but then understanding where the restriction is needs to play a larger role. Often times with ankle sprains I have seen positional faults of the distal fibula causing decreased ankle DF.
