![]() Throughout the course of my sports residency, I have had countless athletes ask me about where the best yoga class is and if/when they could return to yoga post injury. This was a very difficult answer to give them at first, as I was clueless to good information on yoga. As more and more athletes asked I sought out answers from clinicians, yoga instructors, and solid resources online. While most of my athletes have sought yoga for mobility and flexibility, I've learned that many use yoga practice for stress, anxiety, and more. For those of you who are getting questions about yoga practice, do your homework and seek out the yoga instructors in your area. Find out their background/training and what they believe in. As alluded to in the article presented, many have little to no background in anatomy. Be cautious to recommend anything until you have a strong foundation on the area and instructors in your city. Check out this guest post on Eric Cressey's website as a good starting point. - Brian
